    This is one of my favorite winter salad which I am sharing with you and I name it Special winter salad mix. This recipe is always on my winter season food list. It is easy to make. So come let’s have a look.

    Ingredients

    1(one) red onion (chopped), 2(two) celery stalks (chopped), 1 teaspoon of caster sugar, Pinch of salt, 1–2 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 thick slice granary bread (about 75 gram, torn into small pieces), 220 gram Tender stem or purple sprouting broccoli (broccoli) cut in half length ways, 2 x 160 gram packs Waitrose Flower Sprouts, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tomato, 50 gram of unblanched hazelnuts (chopped), 25 gram pack fresh parsley(leaves only), 100 gram of pack pomegranate seeds, 100g essential Waitrose Greek Light Salad Cheese crumbled (you can use normal cheese 50 gram).

    Method

    1. Put the red onion, tomato and celery in a large glass serving bowl and sprinkle with the sugar, a pinch of salt and the lemon juice, mix together well and set aside.
    2. Place a non-stick frying pan on stove for heating and cook the hazelnuts and bread for 5 minutes until nicely browned. Put them aside for 5 minutes to cool down.
    3. At the same time, put the broccoli in a large saucepan of boiling water for two minutes and let them cook, then add the flower sprouts for a further minute. After that drain well and cool under running water, then add to the salad bowl and drizzle over the olive oil and Toss well together.
    4. Spread the pomegranate, cheese, parsley and the hazelnuts and crunchy bread over the vegetables. Sprinkle over a little extra oil and a grind of black pepper according to taste if you want, and serve.

    Winter Fruit Salad

    This winter special food is very healthy and have many nutritional benefits.

    This salad is really very delicious, easy to make and this dish also at my top of winter food list. I name this salad ziggy fruit salad. Let’s have a look.

    Ingredients

    3(three) oranges peeled and portioned, 2(two) apple diced, 2 kiwis diced, 2 bananas peeled and diced, ¾ cup of pomegranates arils.

    Dressing
    2 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 2 table spoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of poppy seeds.

    Instructions
    1. In a small serving bowl mix all the ingredients of dressing and keep aside
    2. In a large serving bowl put all the fruits, pour the dressing on them and mix well
    3. Your winter fruit salad is ready to serve.

    Here is some of the easy and delicious drinks you can serve as welcome drink in winter when some one visit you. Lets have a look.

    Special Masala Tea (Chai)

    Ingredients

    6 cardamom, 6 cloves, 3 black peppercorns cinnamon sticks, 1 small piece of fresh ginger, 2 cups whole milk (450ml), 4 bags of black tea such as Darjeeling(4 tea spoon from market pack of tea), 6 teaspoon of sugar or more (according to taste).

    How to make it:

    1. Place and crush the cardamom, cloves, and peppercorns in mortar and pestle or place these ingredients in a resealable plastic bag and crush with a heavy skillet mortar and pestle.
    2. Put the crushed spices in a pan, add cinnamon sticks, chopped ginger, milk,2 cups water and bring to a boil. Remove pan from heat, add the tea bags, cover, and let it steep for 8 to 10 minutes(if you are using market  pack tea then add the tea with the above ingredient at the time of boiling)
    3. Strain into cup and add 2 teaspoon sugar(or according to taste) to each cup.

    Hot Cocoa Spiced

    Ingredients

    1(one) serving hot cocoa mix (plus the ingredients called for in the package directions),2 pinches of ground chipotle chili pepper, 2 pinches of ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons of sweetened whipped cream.

    How to Make It:

    1. Ready the hot cocoa mix according to the directions given on package.
    2. Combine and mix with half the chipotle chili pepper and half the cinnamon.
    3. Top it with cream and sprinkle with the left chipotle and cinnamon. Ready to serve.

    Hot and Special Spiced Coconut-Almond Milk

    Ingredients

    1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, ½(half) teaspoon of turmeric powder, ½(half) teaspoon of ginger powder and/or fresh ginger, ½(half) teaspoon of pure ground vanilla or pure vanilla flavor, half teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, half pinch of caenne pepper or chipotle powder,.

    How to make:

    1. In a heating pan combine all ingredients and mix them well.
    2. Slowly bring it to a simmer, stirring often.  Ready to Serve (serve warm)

    Hot Chocolate 

    Ingredients

    4½ of cups almond milk, 1(one) teaspoon of pure vanilla extract(optional), ¼-1/3 of cup pure maple syrup, ½ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder , ½ (about 1.5 ounce) dark chocolate bar (70% cacao or more) melted.

    How to make:

    1. Place a saucepan on stove, heat milk over medium low flame until steam starts to rise from the surface. Add cocoa, sweetener, and melted chocolate and stir all well.
    2. Warm over medium low heat until all ingredients are mixed and combined together and hot chocolate is to desired temperature.  Add vanilla or (other flavoring of your choice) and stir.
    3. Serve warm and add shredded dark chocolate or homemade maple whipped cream for topping.

    Egg Bread Pudding

    Ingredients

    4(four) eggs, 2(two) 1/4(one fourth) cups of dairy egg nog, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 6 cups of bread cubes, 1/2 cup of candied cherries (finely chopped), powdered sugar for garnishing.

    How to make

    1. Lightly grease (coat) a 2 quart baking dish, and keep aside. Beat together eggs, egg nog, and nutmrg with the help of electric mixer. 
    2. Stir in bread cubes and candied cherries.  Let stand (wait) for a few minutes until bread is softened, and then put into the prepared baking dish. 
    3. Bake at 325 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes (until the knife inserted in center comes out clean).  Serve warm, garnish with powdered sugar.

    Beetroots Soup

    Ingredients

    2(two) Beetroots, 3 Tomatoes, 2 Carrots, 1/2 of glass Water, Salt, Black Pepper, Paneer Cubes

    Instructions
    • Nicely wash all ingredients
    • Peel the beetroot and carrots
    • Finely chop the vegetables
    • Put chopped vegetables in a pressure cooker
    • Add ½(half) of glass water
    • Add salt to taste
    • Place the cooker on stove to heat and cook veggies for 2 whistles
    • Once cooked, put the cooked vegetables in a electronic mixer after peeling skin off the tomatoes
    • Blend this mix
    • Transfer the blended mixture back in a saucepan
    • Heat the mixture one more time on flame
    • Add some little water for consistency
    • Add a pinch of black pepper and salt(according to taste)
    • At last add some paneer cubes
    • Switch off the flame once the mixture comes to gentle boil

    Your tasty Beetroot Soup is now ready to serve (serve 3 to 4 people).

    Spinach Soup

    Ingredients

    1 cup of Spinach, 1/2 of cup split Moong Dal, 1 large Carrot, 2 Tomatoes, Salt, Turmeric, 1 glass of Water, Sweet Corn

    Instructions

    • Wash and clean all vegetables
    • Make a slit (small cut) in cross at the end(down) of tomatoes as it became easier at the time of peeling
    • Finely chop the carrots and spinach
    • In a pressure cooker add the washed split moong dal
    • Add salt(accordingly) and a pinch of turmeric to taste
    • Now add a glass of water
    • Cook for at least 2 to 3 whistles
    • Once cooled, put the mixture in a electronic mixer (blender)
    • Peel off the tomatoes nicely 
    • Blend (mix) and transfer the mixture in a saucepan.
    • Boil the blend
    • Add 1/3 teaspoon salt, and a pinch of black pepper if you want
    • Add some sweet corn

    Your delicious Spinach Soup is now ready to serve (serve 2 to 3 person).
